This platform does not ask who you are. Below is exactly what it keeps and what it does not — not a legal formula.
We never ask for
- An account or password
- An email address
- A phone number
- Your real name or any identity document
What is actually stored
- A display name you choose. It can be anything.
- A random id in a signed cookie. It is the only link between you and your posts.
- If you choose to appear as a helper: your location rounded to about one kilometre. Your exact position is never stored.
- The text of what you post, with phone numbers masked automatically.
What is deleted automatically
- Conversations 24 hours after the last message — closed then, deleted after 5 days.
- Alerts 24 hours after posting — archived then, deleted after 5 days.
- Your whole record 30 days after your last visit.
- Satellite detections after 5 days — we keep only what the app can actually show you.
Traffic measurement
We use Google Analytics to see how many people use the platform and which screens they open — nothing more. That collects: the pages you visited, your device and browser type, where you arrived from, and an approximate city-level location inferred from your IP address (the address itself is not stored). We explicitly disable joining this to Google accounts and disable ad personalisation. Nothing is sold, there are no advertising cookies, and none of it is linked to your display name or your posts. Any ad blocker, or your browser’s Do Not Track setting, will block it.
How to erase yourself
Clear this site\u2019s cookies in your browser. The id is the only link between you and anything you posted, so clearing it leaves nothing that points back to you.
What we cannot promise
A display name and a coarse location are personal data in the legal sense, which is why they are named here rather than claiming we \u201cstore no personal data\u201d. And if you type identifying details into a post, other people see them — no platform can protect you from that.
